Dr. Park praised the Vietnamese government’s resolute determination in the fight against COVID-19, saying that Vietnam remains a safe destination. WHO was impressed by the whole Vietnamese people’s cooperation in epidemic control and prevention. WHO promised to cooperate closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health to mobilize maximum support for Vietnam’s fight against COVID-19. Dr Park said there had been 20 COVID-19 vaccine producing candidates and Viet Nam had full capability of mass producing vaccines.

Prime Minister Phuc praised WHO’s assistance and contribution in technocal support and policy advisory recently. He said Vietnam has made all-out effort to control the epidemic while ensuring transparency and openness for efficient prevention in tandem with social economic development and social stability.
