(VOVWORLD) - The World Health Organization (WHO) is having good discussions on the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic with Chinese officials, said the WHO’s COVID-19 technical lead Maria Van Kerkhove Monday.

The WHO team visited the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in China’s Hubei region, where the outbreak emerged in late 2019. They spent four and a half hours on site after completing two weeks of quarantine, and did not speak to waiting journalists.
Their detailed investigation plan has not been revealed.
