Mr. Dam said Vietnam has worked out measures and learned from experience to make appropriate adjustments during the process of fighting the COVID-19 epidemic. As the epidemic is entering a new period, Vietnam is planning new measures and hopes to get advice from the WHO and the USCDC, he said.

Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said Vietnam has mobilized all of its political system, army and people to fight the novel coronavirus epidemic. He emphasized Vietnam’s principle of “4 on-the-spot resources” including on-the-spot prevention, on-the-spot facilities, on-the-spot funds, and on-the-spot personnel.

"Vietnam’s treatment guideline has been updated and revised constantly to keep up with the world. New medicines have been allowed to be tested to seek the best possible treatment method for patients infected with the virus. Vietnam has also asked its research units to develop bio-products for diagnosis," said Mr. Long.
