WHO warns of 700,000 more COVID deaths in Europe by March
(VOVWORLD) - Another 700,000 Europeans could die of COVID-19 by next March, the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned.

It said evidence is growing that vaccine protection against infection and mild disease is declining. It advised EU countries to administer a booster shot to the most vulnerable individuals.
The WHO said the large number of unvaccinated people is one factors stoking the high transmission rate in Europe, along with the Delta variant and the relaxation of preventive measures, like wearing masks and social distancing. The WHO called on people to get vaccinated, practice good hygiene, and continue social distancing to help stop the virus.
