(VOVworld) – The World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday warned of the appearance of infectious diseases and man-made disasters.

WHO said this is one of the greatest challenges to the health sector in all countries, which requires timely global responses. Speaking at the 69^th World Health Assembly in Geneva, WHO Director-General Magaret Chan urged countries to develop stronger health systems, citing the late and inefficient response to the Ebola virus disease as a failure not to be repeated. Chan said setting up stronger health systems is the first and foremost measure to be taken to prevent diseases. The issue will be discussed at the G7 summit to be held later this week in Japan.
