WikiLeaks said that the NSA bugged a private climate change strategy meeting between UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, talks between former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, as well as a discussion between top EU and Japanese trade ministers on the operation of the World Trade Organization.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon’s private meetings on how to save the planet from climate change were likely bugged by the US purposefully to protect its largest oil companies.
