Wind power development plan approved
(VOVworld) – The Prime Minister has approved a non-refundable project on wind power development funded by the German government. The project aims to develop wind power technology, tap potentials of the energy, build a database and planning on wind power development at national and local levels, improve competence on management, planning and investment of wind power development. The project includes three components including a program to measure and assess wind power potential, making pre-feasible and feasible reports on wind power, and assistance to the drafting of a master scheme on wind power development. The four-year project has an estimated cost of 3.7 million euros, of which 3.6 million euros is sourced from the German Government’s official development assistance (ODA) and the remainder comes from the Vietnamese State budget.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) will allocate Vietnam’s counterpart capital as committed to ensure the implementation of the project on schedule and in accordance with current regulations.
