(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s working team led by Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien on Wednesday had a field trip to Quang Binh province, one of central localities severely affected by recent floods.

The team recommended measures to respond to floods and restore production for people in low-lying areas.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said it will provide 275,000 poultry breeds to Quang Binh, which has called on the central government to allocate 2,000 tons of seeds, 1,500 tons of rice, and 73 million USD to rebuild the infrastructure.
On this occasion, the United Nations Children's Fund donated 112,000 USD worth of water filters and detergent to people in the hardest-hit areas. UNICEF also provided 26,000 USD to 6 flooded central provinces through its programs.
