Addressing the event organized by the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Center for Studies of International Relations Strategy and Development, US Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink thanked Vietnam for its face masks sent to the US and praised its joint effort with the international community in the fight against Covid-19 as well as its success in containing the pandemic. He also thanked Vietnam for searching for wartime missing people.  

He hailed the impressive progress in bilateral ties over the past 25 years and committed further effort in dealing with war aftermath and economic cooperation for peace and stability.
