(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Health organized a workshop to collect opinions to a draft set of basic competence standards for general practitioners. The workshop on Monday had the participation of representatives from provincial health Departments, hospitals, and medical universities nationwide.

The set of competency standards for general practitioners is structured on the framework for doctors in Asia-Pacific and ASEAN. Participants exchanged opinions on doctors’ capability of communications, doing scientific research, applying medical knowledge, and making diagnoses and treatment decision.
