(VOVWORLD) - Leaders from around the world have extended congratulations to Vietnam on the country’s 78th anniversary of National Day, September 2.

China’s top leaders said China attaches great importance to developing relations between the two Parties and states and wants to increase strategic exchanges with Vietnam and deepen multifaceted cooperation.
Cambodia’s leaders said they are confident that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Vietnamese people will record greater achievements in implementing the 13th National Party Congress resolution, including the goal of making Vietnam a developed country with high income by 2045.
Russia’ leaders reiterated that Vietnam is a traditional and reliable partner of Russia in Asia-Pacific , stressing and that they look forward to further consolidation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries bilaterally and multilaterally.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement that the US supports a strong, prosperous, independent, and resilient Vietnam.
“We cherish the partnership that our governments and people have built together and look forward to working together on priorities that further our shared goal of a prosperous, open, resilient, and peaceful Indo-Pacific Region,” the statement said.
Secretary Blinken said he looks forward to President Biden’s historic visit to Hanoi on September 10-11.
In their congratulatory messages and letters, leaders of Laos, Cuba, the DPRK, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and many other countries praised the achievements Vietnam has gained in national development.
