(VOVworld) –General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li keqiang, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhang Dejiang have sent congratulatory messages to Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, and National Assembly chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung on Vietnam’s 70th National Day. The Chinese leaders congratulated Vietnam on its socio-economic achievements in recent years and said they believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will achieve more in their cause of socialism building.
General Secretary of the Lao Revolutionary People’s Party and President Choummaly Sayasone, Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong, and Parliament speaker Pany Yathotu sent their congratulatory messages, in which they expressed hopes that Vietnam will obtain greater achievements in its renewal.
In their messages, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, Prime Minister Samdech Techno Hunsen, Parliament speaker Samdech Heng Samrin, and acting speaker of the Upper House Nay Pena congratulated Vietnam on its achievements. They expressed delight at the development of bilateral friendship and hoped that the two countries’ comprehensive cooperation will continue to thrive.
In his message, first Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and Head of Cuba’s Council of State and Council of Ministers, Raul Castro, congratulated Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Truong Tan Sang, and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on the occasion. He voiced his wish of promoting friendly ties and cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, and Chairwoman of the Council of Federation Valentina Matviyenko, sent congratulatory messages to Vietnamese leaders. They hailed Vietnamese-Russian ties which are developing in all fields. They expressed their hope that promoting the bilateral strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia, as well as enhancing cooperation in international issues, will satisfy both nations’ interests, contributing to ensuring stability and security in Asia Pacific. Marking the occasion, the Foreign Ministers of China, Laos, Cambodia, and Russia also sent congratulatory messages to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Vietnam Pham Binh Minh.
