(VOVWORLD) -After three days of breathtaking competition, the Binh Dinh Grand Prix of the UIM F1H2O World Championship came to a close on Sunday in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province, with an individual victory belonging to Swedish racer Erik Stark of team Victoria from United Arab Emirates.

Runner-up was Binh Dinh-Vietnam team member Jonas Andersson, and third place was Peter Morin of CTIC China Team.
Leading the team rankings was team Binh Dinh-Vietnam with a total score of 72 points. It was followed by Shajar Team and Victoria Team, both from United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a total score of 57 points.
The race held by the governing body Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) was hosted by Vietnam for the first time, with 18 leading drivers from China, Finland, France, Norway, Portugal, the UAE and Vietnam competing at Thi Nai lagoon, the largest saltwater one in the central region.
Tran Duc Trinh, a resident of Binh Dinh province, said, “So excited, trying to come here with my family from far away to buy tickets to see the boat racing scene with my own eyes. We have five family members coming here. This sport is fun. I hope the home team will win.”
