Writer Son Tung passes away at 93
(VOVWORLD) - Son Tung, who wrote the novel Green Lotus about President Ho Chi Minh, passed away at 11 pm on Thursday at the age of 93, a member of his family said.

Writer Son Tung whose real name is Bui Son Tung was born in 1928 in Hoa Luy village, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province. He was the author of many works on President Ho Chi Minh and revolutionary and cultural celebrities in Vietnam. He spent his whole adult life from the age of 20 to over 80 to learn about President Ho Chi Minh.
Son Tung wrote 21 literary works, 13 works about Ho Chi Minh with admiration, passion and cult. Green Lotus is his most popular novel portraying Ho Chi Minh from his childhood days until he left Vietnam for national salvation. First published in 1982, Green Lotus has been reprinted for the 30th time and translated into many other languages around the world.
