(VOVworld) – The Ho Chi Minh Youth Union and the Border Guard Command will intensify their communications activities and educational programs on defending national sovereignty and ensuring border security. This was agreed in their meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday to review the 2010-2013 cooperation program and sign a new agreement until 2017.

Captain Doan Ngoc Bau is in charge of youth activities in the border force. He said: "The cooperation program will reinforce the understanding of youngsters, no matter what position or sector they are in, about border areas and national borderlines, to encourage their greater responsibility. Activities to link border guards and civilians have made youngsters know and love the force more. So they’re more aware of their responsibility to support the force’s efforts to defend national sovereignty."
