“Zero-dong minimart” program launched to support the needy ahead of Tet
(VOVWORLD) - A “zero-dong mini supermarket” program has been launched in HCM city as part of the efforts to care for the needy ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet).

The program, jointly implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the city and the Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC, aims to serve 20,000 disadvantaged residents with a total cost of over 420,000 USD.
It is running until Sunday in District 1, Phu Nhuan, Binh Tan, and Hoc Mon districts, and Thu Duc city. Each shopper can get free necessary commodities, food and foodstuff with a total value of 17 USD.
For this Tet, HCM City plans to spend more than 1.8 million USD to care for local needy people.
