Mr. Dung made the statement in Can Tho on Friday at the 2017 APEC High-Level Policy Dialogue on food security and sustainable agriculture in response to climate change.
He noted that APEC members with economies mainly depending on agriculture have favorable conditions to form supply chains, agricultural values, and sustainable food.
“Ensuring food security and developing a sustainable agriculture in response to climate change are one of important issues in Vietnam, the region, and the world at large. These are significant to inclusive growth and welfare for all people. The dialogue is the start of implementing one of 4 priorities of APEC this year, to strengthen food security and sustainable agriculture which will be adaptable to climate change,” said Mr Dung.
