ACV cited a decision signed by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung and said that ACV is assigned to be the investor of Long Thanh International Airport project.
Project components include essential airport facilities such as airfields, terminals, general infrastructure works, aviation security and safety, and a connected traffic system. The project costs 4.3 billion USD using ACV investment capital without government guarantees.
Once fully operational, Long Thanh Airport will reduce the load on Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City, handling 100 million passengers and five million tonnes of freight each year. The first phase is expected to be completed by 2025.
