Satisfaction index measures public administrative service

(VOVworld) – The President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Nguyen Thien Nhan, said the satisfaction index of public administrative service needs to be measured in places where people are served. He said at a meeting with Ho Chi Minh’s municipal People’s Committee on Tuesday that measuring public satisfaction is a key task for the institutional and administrative reform effort. He suggested the index should measure public satisfaction against overall service, problem solving, and transparency.

While working with Can Tho city’s leaders on Wednesday, Nhan noted that the master plan for public administrative reform from 2011 to 2020 aimed to achieve over 80% of public satisfaction by 2020. He commented on the way to carry out surveys of public satisfaction in Can Tho city, saying it aims to create unity among people and administrative bodies and provide momentum for Vietnam’s development.

Nhan said local leaders should continue to talk directly to people, provide training for staff carrying out surveys of public satisfaction, and analyze survey’s results to address weaknesses.
