(VOVworld) – The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Pham Binh Minh, has stressed Vietnam’s solidarity with Latin-American countries, including the host country Venezuela, at the just-concluded 17
th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit, themed Peace, Sovereignty and Solidarity for Development.

Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc spoke highly of Vietnam’s contribution to the Summit’s success. Vietnam has worked to keep the Movement on track with a focus on looking at the major issues facing humanity and ensuring the benefits of members countries. Vietnam has held frank, constructive talks with the host country, helping it deal with differences arising during the Summit in accordance with the Movement’s principles.
On the sidelines of the Summit, Deputy Prime Minister Minh also had separate meetings with the Presidents of Venezuela, Cuba, and El Salvador, Haiti’s Prime Minister, and the Foreign Ministers of Venezuela, Iraq, and Burundi towards boosting bilateral ties.
