Vietnam ICT summit 2017 opens
(VOVWORLD) -The 7th Vietnam ICT summit begins in Hanoi Wednesday. Organized by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), the summit discussed topics such as Awareness about Industry 4.0, Vietnam’s Digital Economic Strengths, the Digital Industry, Intelligent Agriculture, Smart Travel and Cities, Digital Manpower, Innovation, and Startups.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam told the summit that Vietnam is one of the countries most vulnerable to malware threats. He asked state agencies, associations, and IT firms to work closely in sharing information and ensuring cyber security. “We have to pay special attention to cyber security. This is not only a business opportunity but also a responsibility of IT firms. State agencies have to issue legal documents on this field. If we promote IT application without taking technical issues, human resources, information safety, and cyber security into consideration, we’ll have to pay a higher price than what we will gain.”
The Vietnam ICT Summit is a national event on IT policy with the participation of senior leaders from the government, ministries, sectors, localities, economic groups, IT application units, and enterprises, who will discuss their vision, development trends, and the exchange of major solutions in IT as a foundation for new development methods and modernization.
