Vietnam’s message to WEF features comprehensive reform, int’nal integration

(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation are attending the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, from Tuesday to Saturday.

In an interview to the media on the threshold of the event, Ambassador Duong Chi Dung, head of Vietnam's Permanent Mission in Geneva, said that since Vietnam joined the WEF in 1989, the bilateral relationship had been advancing in various fields. A total of 11 Vietnamese groups have become WEF members.

Ambassador Dung said the theme of this year’s forum “Responsive and Responsible Leadership” coincides with Vietnam’s determination to build a constructive and active-minded government.

Mr. Dung said that the Vietnamese government has prioritized the creation of opportunities for people and enterprises to seize their chances and take action to address obstacles in the way of their productivity and lives. At the summit, PM Phuc will explain the efforts made by the Vietnamese Government to consolidate the confidence of the international business community in order to attract more foreign investment into Vietnam.

Attending the Davos meeting, the Vietnamese Prime Minister will convey a strong message regarding Vietnam’s economic outlook and policies, and its determination to push for comprehensive reform and proactive international integration.

Mr. Phuc will also deliver a speech at an Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders themed “Responsive and Responsible Leadership in a multi-polar world”, which will emphasize the Vietnamese Government’s commitment to comprehensive reform.
