The event, organized by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in cooperation with the Dong Thap provincial People’s Committee, drew 62 stations from across Vietnam. Nguyen The Ky, VOV’s President and head of the festival’s steering committee opened the ceremony by beating a drum.
This year's Radio Festival focused on using innovation and diversifying content, target audiences and genres to develop the broadcasting industry in a new era.
Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh told delegates, “This is an important festival, an opportunity for broadcasters to demonstrate their passion, talent, and responsibility in creating positive changes for the radio industry. The festival honors outstanding productions.”
A workshop on communication technology, an international webinar on social behavior change via radio drama, and exhibitions on radio practitioners and technologies were held on Friday. The 14th National Radio Festival will close on Saturday evening.
