(VOVworld) – A variety of cultural activities, handicraft products, and specialties of Hanoi and other localities are on display at the 2015 Hanoi Spring Fair that opened in Hanoi Wednesday.

In his address at opening ceremony, To Van Dong, Director of Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said the event’s highlight is to promote Hanoi’s spring festivals like Saint Giong Temple festival, Huong or Perfume Pagoda Festival, and Co Loa Temple Festival. Dong said: “Goers to the fair can buy products necessary for the coming lunar New Year festival and enjoy cultural activities. The fair will feature traditional art performances apart from introducing Hanoi’s tourism products.”

As part of the fair are a contest to make Chung cakes and performances of ceremonial songs, traditional martial art, aerobics, and making “to he”, traditional toy manually made from glutinous rice powder.
