(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s Party and State are developing important plans to continue protecting the environment, said Le Ba Trinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee, on Tuesday in Hanoi at a meeting to mark World Environment Day on June 5, World Oceans Day on June 8, and the Vietnam Sea and Island Week.

He said the VFF is tasked with running a special program to mobilize people nationwide to join activities to protect the environment as part the National Environmental Protection Strategy until 2010 with a vision to 2020.
