(VOVworld) - The 2016 Con Son-Kiep Bac festival opened in Hai Duong province on Tuesday.

Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan and leaders from Hai Duong attended the opening ceremony. This year’s festival will restore the water procession which has long fallen into oblivion. The procession prays for peace, good weather, and bumper crops and to show a sense of community unity.

The Kinh Duong Vuong festival opened on the same day in Bac Ninh province.
