(VOVWORLD) - The 2017 Mekong Sub-region Festival took place Sunday in Berlin to promote the land and people of the Mekong sub-region and enhance regional cooperation.

The event featured seminars on Vietnamese culture and people, and integration process of Vietnamese workers in Germany. Professor Wilfried Lulei, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association, shared his experiences of Vietnam’s land, culture, and people. Participants also listened to Southeast Asia expert Gerhard Will talking about the East Sea issue.
The event was co-organized by Albert Einstein University and Friendship Associations between Germany and Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia.
