(VOVworld) – The 6^th European Literature Days opened at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi Thursday with representatives from Denmark, Germany, France, Sweden, the UK, Italy, Spain, and Belgium Wallonie- Brussels region. The event will take place from May 5-10 in Hanoi and May 8-12 in Ho Chi Minh city.


Among 25 activities, the highlights will be commemorations of the 400^th death anniversaries of English playwright William Shakespeare and Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes. Le Tuyet Nhung, representative of the Wallonia-Brussels delegation, said: “The European Literature Day will give Vietnamese audiences a broader understanding of foreign literatures and cultures.”
