The 6^th Vietnam-International Book Fair opened at Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi Wednesday. 94 publishing houses are displaying around 40,000 titles in several categories: Vietnam’s sea and islands and national sovereignty, ASEAN and its member countries, national prize-winning books, and publications printed with new materials and technology.

Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan said at the fair’s opening ceremony: “Visitors will enjoy a fantastic reading space in Hanoi. I expect that improvements of the 6^th Book Fair will confirm its prestige of a reliable venue for both foreign and Vietnamese publishing houses to promote business.”

The Fair, which takes place until Sunday, will include a seminar on copyright and publication, workshops to introduce new books and best sellers, and discussions on reading habits and life skills.
