(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited and presented Tet gifts to poor people and Agent Orange victims in Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province on Saturday.

He presented them with 100 Tet gifts and asked local authorities to ensure that no one goes hungry during Tet. The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai gave 1,000 Tet gifts to poor people in Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province. He said he hoped that the local authorities and people will continue to join hands to building their homeland: “The government has decided to expand the Binh Son Petro-chemical refinery and to invest more in the Dung Quat economic zone. These will be our opportunities to boost economic growth. The local authorities should begin to consider resident relocation and economic restructuring.”

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan presented 190 Tet gifts to poor households in the 2 districts of Dong Hoa and Tuy An in Tuy Hoa city and provided financial support worth 15,000 USD each to help 4 local fishermen build fishing boats.
