Activities to mark 83rd founding anniversary of the Youth Union
(VOVworld) – Hanoi’s Municipal Youth Union held a ceremony on Friday to mark the 83rd founding anniversary of the Youth Union.

Nguyen Thi Nga, Secretary of Hanoi Municipal Youth Union said that over 83 years, Hanoi has been always proud of its many revolutionary activities and initiatives involving young people. 100 outstanding Secretaries of the Youth Union were honored on the occasion. Le Thu Huyen, a Youth Union secretary of Me Linh high school in Me Linh district, Hanoi, is one of them: "I feel very proud. As a young person, I promised myself to be enthusiastic, dynamic and creative in Youth Union activities. As a Union secretary, I encourage other members at my school’s youth union to be enthusiastic, active and try to become good citizens".
On the same day, the Ministry of Public Security organized a meeting of former members of the Youth Union and their junior peers in the Public Security sector. Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang spoke highly of the role of the Youth Union in national construction and defence. He expressed his hope that the Youth Union will have more activities to contribute to Vietnam’s industrialization and modernization process.
