(VOVworld) – The Vietnam People’s Navy has announced a series of activities in anticipation of its 60^th anniversary on May 7.

The former Coast Guard Force consisting of 141 staff and soldiers with simple weapons, has, over the past 60 years, developed into the Vietnam People’s Navy.
Among activities to mark the anniversary will include a meeting at the Cam Ranh – Khanh Hoa military port and a seminar on the navy’s traditions and current capability. These activities will inspire the sense of responsibility and revolutionary will of the soldiers and army staff in protecting national sea and islands.
