(VOVworld) – Various activities are being held at the moment to commemorate the anniversary of the deaths of the Hung Kings and their Festival, which will run until next Tuesday.

An exhibition of more than 200 photos, materials, and items portraying the practice of worshiping the Hung Kings opened in Phu Tho province on Thursday.
Pham Ba Khiem, deputy director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said the exhibition is entitled "the Hung King worship ritual, the journey towards a world heritage".
He gave more details about the exhibition which “aims to promote the images of Hung Kings worship rituals, Xoan singing, and other cultural heritage items of Phu Tho, by which to stimulate the patriotic tradition among younger generations and affirm the province’s commitment along with UNESCO and the government, to preserving this heritage. This is the first of 30 cultural, sports, and tourism activities towards this year’s anniversary of the Hung Kings’ death and their festival.”

The Ministry of Information and Communications, Phu Tho’s People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Postal Corporation also issued a collection of postage stamps marking the Hung Kings.
The stamps, designed by painter Vo Luong Nhi and Vu Kim Lien, portray the entrance to the Hung Kings Temple, their worship rituals, and various ethnic group preparation of offerings.
