(VOVWORLD) -Singapore advances to the semi-finals of the Southeast Asian Football Championship 2020 (AFF Cup 2020) after its 2-0 win over Timor Leste in a match of Group A on Tuesday at Singapore’s National Stadium.

Singapore is the second team in Group A that confirms a ticket to the semi-finals after Thailand. The Singaporeans now rank second in Group A with nine points, equal on points with the top-ranked Thais but behind on goal difference.
In the previous match on Tuesday at Singapore's National Stadium, Thailand quickly imposed their dominance against the Philippines with a score of 2-1. The win helps Thailand qualify for the semi-finals of the AFF Cup 2020.
Team Vietnam will play the third match of Group B against Indonesia on Wednesday evening in a match to decide the top team of the group and the first semi-finalists.
After two matches, both Vietnam and Indonesia earn 6 points. Vietnam beat Laos 2-0 and Malaysia 3-0. Meanwhile, Indonesia beat Cambodia 4-2 and Laos 5-1. This result put Indonesia temporarily leading Group B, the Vietnamese ranked 2nd.
