Ambassador highlights Vietnam’s favor of disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation
(VOVWORLD) - Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, reiterated Vietnam’s consistent stance in favor of disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation at the debate of the First Committee on Disarmament and International Security in New York this week.

Nga noted that Vietnam gives prominence to multilateralism, considering it the core principle of negotiations and the only efficient approach in building the trust needed to deal with international issues.
Nga called for more assistance from the international community in implementing the 2010-2025 Plan of Action for dealing with post-war bombs and mines, particularly disarming bombs and mines and supporting victims.
