(VOVWORLD) - Ministers of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) met in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday to assist small and medium-sized enterprises with accessing better financial sources in the digitization era.
High on the agenda were challenges to SMEs’ capital source, the increase of the supply chain finance to improve competitiveness, and the development of the supply chain finance on digital platforms.
Tran Quang Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Economics and Management, said: “We need micro financial solutions such as capital with preferential interest rate or venture capital in projects, which, once implemented well, will transform their benefits into funding for other SMEs”.
Thang added that diversifying financial services to meet the different interests of SMEs is the key to their sustainable development.
