APEC underlines need to develop human resources in digital era
(VOVWORLD) - 21 APEC members have approved a joint statement on developing human resources at a 4-day meeting in Hanoi.

They suggested orientations and solutions to help workers deal with emerging challenges and opportunities in the job market. Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Doan Mau Diep said: “Vietnam has chosen the right theme at the right time to develop human resources in the digital era. Member economies are all affected, and we need to cooperate to adapt to the digital era and the 4.0 revolution.”
Professor Park Dong Sung, Head of APEC's Human Resources Development Working Group, said: “Vietnam through this meeting has provided the right venue at the right time for the preparation into the future. And Vietnam has played a leading role in this. We, as an APEC family member, and all the economies within the APEC are really grateful to the great country and to the people of Vietnam.”
The 21 APEC members agreed on a framework for promoting cooperation in human resources development until 2025.
