(VOVworld) – During a meeting on Thursday to condemn Israel’s Golan Heights claims, Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi said Israel defies the law and called for a special criminal court for Israel, like the courts set up for Serbian war crimes.

Delegates from 22 AL members will likely approve a resolution condemning Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement last week that Golan Heights will be Israel’s forever. Israel’s Ha’aretz Newspaper quoted a senior Arab official as saying that the meeting was held for a purpose of condemning Netanyahu’s statement.
