Speaking at Wednesday’s Military Conference of the entire army to review performance in the first half of 2021, the Prime Minister urged the army to be proactive and creative in performing tasks and firmly defend independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland. He said socio-economic development and political stability must be harmonized to create a peaceful environment for national development. Prime Minister Chinh called for promoting strength of the people and the great national unity.

The Prime Minister asked the entire army to maintain combat readiness and safeguard the airspace, sea, borders, inland and cyberspace, while boosting  international cooperation and defense diplomacy. The military continues to play a leading role in disaster prevention and rescue and especially COVID-19 prevention and control, he said.
