(VOVworld) – An art exchange marking the 65^th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation took place on Tuesday featuring role models in the movement. At the event, co-held by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Central Council for Emulation and Reward, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc urged for the joint effort of the Party and the people to develop Vietnam through patriotic emulation movements. Phuc said:" I call on sectors and agencies to launch patriotic emulation activities. Specific measures should be figured out to ensure the efficiency of the movement, making it popular among the community and a driving force of socio-economic development and the building of a new type of people".

The same day, Ho Chi Minh city’s Council for Emulation and Reward named winners of a song and photo contest called “Patriotic emulation for a rich civilized city”. After a 2-month run, organizers honored the 7 most beautiful songs which carried Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on patriotic emulation, raised self awareness, and sparked creativity of all people for socio-economic development.
