(VOVworld)- The Union of Vietnamese Arts and Literature Associations will launch a program to mark the 60^th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory this Sunday. Under the title “Art Pilgrimage to Dien Bien Phu”, 120 artists will travel and give performance along Highway 6, the bloodline to the former northwestern resistance.

The 4-day program will tour Hoa Binh, Son La and Dien Bien provinces. Performances with traditional musical instruments, conical hats and xoe dances as well as songs in praise of President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, Dien Bien Phu campaign and Vietnamese soldiers and people will all feature. Do Hong Quan is Vice President of the Union of Vietnamese Arts and Literature Associations: “This is the first time such a grand solemn program has been held. The program will be interesting because it will showcase the artists’ passion for our national history, arts, literature and culture. We really hope that the program will inspire other artists to compose more songs”.
