(VOVworld) – A special art program featuring traditional and modern African ballets by Mozambique’s national art troupe took place Tuesday at the Hanoi Opera House to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Mozambique. The event was also intended to mark the 40th anniversary of Mozambican Independence.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mozambican Ambassador to Vietnam Gamiliel Munguambe highlighted the fine traditional relations between Vietnam and Mozambique as the two nations are working to boost cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economics, culture, education and training, and telecommunications.
A series of events will be held in Hanoi and the Mozambican capital city of Maputo.
The Mozambique cultural week is taking place in Hanoi, featuring various cultural, sporting, and culinary activities.
