(VOVworld) – The 47^th ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, later this month to wrap up preparations for the official establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community by year’s end.

The previous official meeting between ASEAN economic ministers was held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, August 25, 2014

The meeting will discuss the implementation of the AEC measures, the ASEAN post-2015 Economic Vision, Strategic Action Plans for the next decade, the development of the ASEAN Small and Medium Enterprises Master Plan in the 2015-2025 period, and especially the completion of commitments agreed under the AEC 2015 Blueprint. The AEC formation is expected to increase ASEAN’s GDP to 4.7 trillion USD by 2020 from the current 2.7 trillion.
