Asian media praise Vietnam U23 football team’s victory over Thailand
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam put up a commendable performance and deservedly earned a ticket to next year’s AFC U23 Championship finals, FOX Sports Asia said in an article that called Vietnam’s triumph against Thailand a “comprehensive win for the Golden Dragons”.

The Asian Football Confederation website featured Vietnam’s fantastic win in an article titled “Vietnam show their class”. Regional news agencies congratulated Vietnam U23 on their convincing victory against Thailand U23 and showed admiration for head coach Park Hang-seo’s “magic”.
Thailand U23’s coach Alexandre Gama told reporters after losing the match that the Vietnam team has played well and deserved the victory. Thailand’s Siam Sport said the bitter 4-0 defeat by Vietnam stunned and disappointed Thai fans and that Thailand lost because they lacked a strong fighting spirit.

The Vietnam U23 football team won convincingly against Thailand and advanced to the AFC U23 Championship final round to be held in Thailand next year, together with 15 other teams. Vietnam’s 4 goals were scored by Duc Chinh, Hoang Duc, Thanh Chung, and Thanh Son.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan personally congratulated the team following the match. Sen Group specialized in real estate and The Voice of Vietnam on Wednesday decided to award nearly 22,000 USD the young football team.
