In an article titled “EU-Vietnam relations reach new heights”, the Brussels Times said the cooperation between Vietnam and the EU over the past 30 years has become a model of EU cooperation with Asian countries. During the years, there have also been great strides in the bilateral relations between Vietnam and EU member states. The legislative bodies of the two sides have played an important role in this process. 

The article emphasizes that National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue is the first high-ranking Vietnamese leader to visit Europe since the 13th Party Congress and the 15th National Assembly election in Vietnam. The visit contributed to affirming Vietnam new leadership's policy of continuing to attach importance to and strengthening cooperation with the European Union (EU) and Belgium.

The EU Today ran an article titled "EU - Vietnam - Belgium relations: A new direction after the pandemic", with a positive assessment of the cooperation prospects between Vietnam and the EU and Belgium. The article said that after a decade of continuous efforts, the signing of the EVFTA Agreement and the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) has opened a bright new chapter in the cooperation relationship between the EU, Belgium, and Vietnam. According to the article, the EU can cooperate with and transfer technology to Vietnam in waste treatment, water resources, combating salinity and sea level rise to improve the lives of people in affected areas such as central Vietnam or the Mekong Delta region. The author says Chairman Hue's visit - the 20th high-level visit of the Vietnamese leaders to Belgium - opens a new phase in bilateral relations.
