Belgian writer-director calls for support for Vietnamese AO victims

(VOVworld) – A documentary film and book portraying the tragic effects of Agent Orange/Dioxin suffered by millions of Vietnamese people decades after the war were presented to the public in Paris on Monday.

Titled “Lien in Me Linh, or War and its crimes” by Belgian writer-director Jean Marc Turine, both works detail the misfortune of Lien, an 18-year-old AO victim living in Hanoi’s outlying district of Me Linh. Lien’s father was exposed to AO/dioxin while fighting on central and Central Highlands battlefields.

Through the voices of victims and eye witnesses, Turine spreads a message of compassion and support for AO/dioxin victims.
