(VOVworld) – The governments of Vietnam and Belgium have signed three agreements for projects called “Support for Responsive Accountable Local Governance” in Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Kon Tum provinces.

These projects aim to strengthen citizen-government engagement as a means of promoting more transparent, accountable, and responsive local governance, improve service delivery, and increase levels of citizen satisfaction.

The projects' immediate beneficiaries include People’s Committees and People’s Councils, the Vietnam Fatherland Front members, members of mass organizations, and citizens of selected communes or districts where the projects will be implemented.

The funding is divided equally between the three provinces.
