China leader signs Brazil deals on Latin America trip.

(VOVworld) - China and Brazil on Thursday signed 56 cooperative deals during Chinese Prime Minister Xi Jinping’s trip to Brazil to boost bilateral strategic relations. The visit took place when both countries are celebrating 40 years of establishing diplomatic relations and two-way trade is on the rise. The signed deals include a joint statement, a memorandum of understanding on corporation in industry, trade, science and technology, transportation, defense, air-space, oil and gas, electricity, banking and finance, infrastructure, and education. Xi visited Brazil after he attended the 2014 BRICS summit in Fortaleza, Brazil. BRICS is an association of five emerging market nations including Russia, India, China, Brazil, and South Africa.
