The three-storey terminal covering an area of 50,000 square meters was built to international standards in the shape of a swallow’s nest – a specialty and symbol of Khanh Hoa.
The terminal is capable of serving 2.4 to 4.8 million passengers by the end of this year and after the second phase is complete, its capacity could grow to 8 million passengers per year by 2030.
Tran Son Hai, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said: “The new terminal will improve the transportation infrastructure and image of Nha Trang city and Khanh Hoa province and increase the area’s investment attraction.”
Khanh Hoa will continue to fully tap traditional tourism markets like China and Russia, and court potential markets like the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Western Europe.
