(VOVWORLD) - The speaker of the Catalan parliament, Carme Forcadell, and four members of parliament have been released on bail after appearing before Spain’s supreme court to testify about their role in last month’s independence referendum and the subsequent declaration of independence.

Forcadell will be held until she pays 150,000 euros bail, court sources said. The four others must pay 25,000 euros each.
